There can be milling lines, tooling lines and or marks, I will not replace or refund for superficial or minor "subjective imperfections". Yes, there is a line on the textured plates, and yes there is a line on the concentric tops, this is normal. We strive to make things as clean as possible, but minor marks can happen, including minor inconsistencies or micro specks in certain anodizing or blackening. DO NOT crank down on the screw, especially when it comes to any "Plastic Top" ErgoBoys, as this could crack the top. New material vendors may be used, new methods, new machines, so there could be future designs that are not the exact same as previous designs in both form and function.
